Welcome

Our Brother’s Keeper Shelter (OBK) is a faith-based non-profit 501(c)(3) shelter located in Big Rapids, Michigan that offers temporary emergency shelter for those who are experiencing homelessness, and are looking for a safe place to stay as they begin their transition into permanent and stable housing.
Our shelter is open to guests 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with an 8:00 pm curfew for guests. We have a full staff on duty 24/7, including holidays. New guests may check in any day of the week, between the hours of 8:00am to 8:00pm.
Our shelter features separate sleeping areas for men and women, as well as three rooms that are dedicated to families who are experiencing homelessness. All guests have access to clean bedding, a fridge, a microwave, and three meals a day. We provide the resources to our guests to  agencies assisting in housing, employment, and health services.
If you have no where to go and you need assistance, please call us at 231-629-8160 for more information and to check our bed availability.
