Shelter Needs
Volunteers:
OBK is very thankful for our kind volunteers who dedicate their time to keeping the shelter safe, clean, and uplifting.
Fundraising:
OBK is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Funding is needed to support our operational costs, which includes rent of facilities, utilities, insurance, food, and staff. Funding is currently received through limited grants, as well as community, church, and individual donations.
In Kind Donations:
Are you interested in donating or hosting a private fundraising event for OBK? Contact our Shelter Administrator to obtain written permission to use our logo, in addition to fundraising information. Our Shelter Administrator can be reached at (231)-629-8033 or [email protected].
Donations are accepted between the hours of 8:00am to 8:00pm and there are always staff members inside that can help you carry in donations. You have the option to receive a donation receipt with each donation you bring to OBK.
Due to shortage of space, please contact the shelter for needs and other options for donating.
