What to Expect When You Stay with Us
Program Details
OBK provides four programs designed to help individuals and families experiencing homelessness move toward stability. Our Emergency Shelter, Empowerment Support Program, and Project North work together to provide immediate safety, individualized support, and access to recovery resources. Our seasonal Warming Station offers a separate overnight option for unsheltered neighbors needing a warm place from dangerous cold weather.
Emergency Shelter
Provides individuals and families experiencing homelessness with a 24/7 temporary Emergency Shelter, meals, and essential necessities.
To request shelter, individuals and families must call OBK to be added on our waitlist.
Empowerment Support
Every guest entering our Emergency Shelter is assigned a case manager who provides housing-focused support, helps address barriers, and connect guests with community resources.
Case managers ensure to empower the guest on their path to self sufficiency.
Warming Station
Provides a safe, warm place for unsheltered individuals and families experiencing homelessness during dangerously cold weather. The program is open to unsheltered neighbors.
The Warming Station operates when the temperatures reach 32°F or below, with overnight hours from 5:00 pm to 8:00 am.
Project North
Through our partnership with Ten16 Recovery Network, Project North provides shelter guests with access to on-site peer-recovery coaching and substance use disorder treatment navigation.
